There was definitely something wrong there. Should have been mid teens without trying to hard.

Thats what everyone said mark. All that was done was a ts 6 position, cold air intake, d&w wheel. My egts were around 1600-1800 at all times of towing.

Damn right. I expected my apartments to complain about the straight pipe 7.3L I bought last summer.

Nothing, I even asked the personnel that live on site at one of the complexes.
She said she knows we are there working, thats it. The sound is not over the top.

I bought a V10 this summer, just by the seat of my pants the 7.3L is so much stronger for pulling. This may be the only V10 I buy.
Not to mention it gets empty mileage what the diesel does towing my heavy lawn care trailer.

From the pic you posted of the "stroker" its a 6.0L POS and yes those didn't get that great of mileage.

Unless the front end was reworked for headlights and bumper that isn't a 7.3L
The EGTs you posted would also melt a 7.3L down.
Not sure about the 6.0 because I won't have any thing to do with them.

The 2v motors are bulletproof. In the 3v, Most people have to swap motors after about 150k because of the valves.

Hope you replaced the manifold with a oem ford. I did a DORMAN manifold on mine in the fall and 6 months later it cracked in half. Cheap crap! At least I wont have a problem replacing it the second time around.
