Last winter my pump let me down so i took it to a local dealer to get repaired and rebuilt but i noticed for some reason it was still leaking out the top cap. When i mentioned it to him he said my pump was bad and should be replaced but i decided to buy a new rebuilt pump from reputable online supplier and keep that one for a spare. I decided to take my spare and remove the top cap and see why it was leaking considering it was suppose to have all new seals in it and what i found really ticked me off, the o ring under the top cap is non existent, the guide bushing seal is non existent, the area under the wiper seal looks like a hammer and chisel were taken to it, the sump base is cracked. Long story short i got ripped off. I ordered the parts to rebuild it myself for around $200 and i'll do it myself. It's a shame this dealer is 30minutes from me and the next one is an hour away. i plan on putting a new v plow in the truck after this winter and i was going to get it off him but that will not happen. I guess the only thing i'll get from this dealer is salt as his price is good and i have no place to dump a tri axle load yet. Guys watch your dealers, i know there are a lot of great dealers out there doing right but there are some doing wrong.

Better to do it yourself then you can trust the work.

Rebuilding e47 Is easy. I dont understand why people dont do it themselves. Hardest part is the angle block bolts.

I would take that back to him and show him and demand your money back if that thing was supposed to be rebuilt. Just don't bend over and take it.

This was a lesson learned the hard way. i rebuilt it myself and it works great with no leaks
