Have a set of Duravis 773's on my truck, (07 2500HD) they are in great shape, but I've heard little to nothing about them, even searching yields almost no result. Local tire places web-reviews, has a few people giving rave reviews on them in the snow. Tire-racks surveys say "fair".
So I'm looking for some info on these things, from the looks of them they don't seem that they'd be a great winter tire, but had to ask, seeing as they look like they have a lot of miles left on them, and my beater escort does nearly all of my daily driving, figured I'd see about keeping them.
Otherwise if I hear they suck, I'll go out and grab a set of winter wheels and tires. But would rather not spend the money if these things are somewhat reasonable in the winter. Figure, if I gotta drop some coin, mind as well do it now, before snow tire mark up hits.

I just bought the Duravis R250's for my truck. They're my "summer" tire, which when I bought them, I knew they were not intended for winter use at all. They are designed for long life, and dry summer conditions. They work very well for what they do, and I have another set of mudders I use for the winter / plowing season. I save 2.5MPG with using these tires, and I couldn't get a smoother ride from any other tire.
Look at the side of the tire for the date code which is a small oval imprint that has two numbers next to one another, such as 35/12. This signifies the week and year they were produced, and if they are over 6 years old, you might want to look into getting another set of winter shoes for your ride.
Bridgestone Duravis tires were designed for long life on commercial vehicles that don't see much weather.
Duravis was origanly made for American car companies to put on their new trucks . That in itself tells you cheap is more important anything . My 09 3500 Chevy came with them and i,v never seen a set of tires wear out that quick and preform so bad.

That can be said about a lot of different tires out there. Both My toyotas had goodyears on them from the factory, and I had to change them out in less than 25K because they were such crap. I went with michelins and they're excellent till they're completely worn out, but then again you pay for it.
I know a guy who has the duravis R250's on his cargo van and he's had them for 115k miles and they are just needing to be replaced now. He lives in FLA, and doesn't have to worry about snow or freezing temps.

I have them on my 09, with about 40k on them I replaced the two rears, front are still excellent, bought the same tire from tirerack, they are no longer made I was told, I rarely see 40 out of a tire let alone the fact the fronts are probably good for another 40
I bought a set of rims/tires with Bridgestone Duravis' tires mounted at about 25% tread. They are a great summer tire! I can only comment on my experiences from when i got them to now, maybe about 15%. They are an awesome highway summer tire. When tread gets low like i have they are very slippery in the rain. I would never try the snow. I get stuck on wet grass all the time, 4wd fixes that. I run Wrangler T/D's in the winter that will need replacing next season.
My opinion is they are a great summer road tire, thats about it.
