It would be a shame to scrap that truck. Somebody would buy it and get a lot of good use out of it. Like plowguy43 said put it on Craigslist for $3,000 OBO.

UPDATE:

I guess $1500 wont buy it, council wants $1800 bottom line, I guess they were asking $2000

Today after I drove all the way back from Delaware where the sale of an 87 F600 with 12K miles fell through, I stopped by with my dad to really check it out.

Its actually not to bad.

AND, they have a Stainless tailgate salt spreader available also

It has 84k miles on it, the truck is a 1984 C70 gas motor, tires are good (from 2002)
clean motor only one hole on the inside of the dump box

So I said ok to $1800 and said Id like the tailgate spreader with it for additional $ council meets in 3 weeks

In the glove box we found the sales receipt:

Purchased in 1999 for $18K
SS tailgate spreader was an extra $4400
Western plow was $4100

1800 still a steal. Get the sander and give it and the truck a good once over. Cross your fingers and go make some money.

I tried buying a truck in a similar deal. Kind of like buying a house thats a short sale. You do all you can/what they want but in the end they sell it to someone else. I hope you get it, looks like a hell of a deal! Dont hold your breath though.

If it has 427 tall deck engine you can get around $400 for it. rear end probably $500. take off plow..

Cart rest to recycler, $10-12 per 100lbs rusty or not...

Prob going to ask $400 for sander, but anything under $2500 is still a screaming good deal.

Theres a truck like that but a GMC down here in Fairfield on a lot. Used to belong to my fiancee's cousin when he did masonry, but he sold his business and the truck sits. Don't know much about it, but if someone is interested PM me and I'll get some info for you. Its at the lot in front of Fischer Transmission on Route 46 west in Fairfield.

Matt, thats a great truck for $1800 man.

On a side note, nice job getting your truck on Fishers' facebook page the other day. Looks like a solid rig.
