2 yard poly spreader jammed up

We have a Salt dogg 2 yard electric poly spreader and from time to time a clump of salt will get jammed in the auger and will not spin sowe need to shovel out all of the salt to unclog it. Is there an easier way?

use a wrench on the flats on the auger that are there for that purpose. Keep your top screen in place when loading.
