Radio Locked Forgot Code

96 1500 put new starter in it so had to disconnect the battery well radio got locked now. forgot the code. tried it few times and now it says in operable. it says to drive truck for an hour then try again. what to do now?

You can visit a chevy dealer and they can get it for you. With most brands they will need the serial number on the back of the radio and proof of ownership

There is a Thefloc unlock procedure posted around here somewhere.
Also do a google search and check some GM truck forums.

Call the dealer and give them the vin or go to them. Did you try and reset the truck. Turn the truck to accessories and push the gas pedal down and up 3 times and thin on the fourth time hold it to the floor. It's been a long time since I had to do it.

Dealer won't be able to help you unless you bring the truck to them and have them hook
it up to the TECH 2 machine. Thats gonna cost $$$$.
Stepping on the gas pedal won't help as it only resets the oil life monitor !!!!!!!!!!
