I guess so. The national no longer takes care of this big box. About 4 months ago a judge finally decided I had no liability and dropped me from the lawsuit. He also ordered the national to pay me, but by then what they owed me went to the bankruptcy trustee. The big box tells me I am still the prefered snow vendor, but it is now being done by Brickman, and what they are paying won't even fuel the trucks. Target was left holding the bag for the lawsuit. I am just trying to move on. Mabey I will do them again someday....when there are no nationals involved.

I think post # 8 NAILED IT .
If they still owe You for Landscaping Work from the Summer and Fall Cleanup , and somehow " Through Misplaced Communication ? " You don't show up for the first snow or ice storm . You won't be paid for the OPEN INVOICE'S From The Summer or Fall

Ever break down? granted it happens to all of us.

USM called us once three days after a major storm. lot contracted to us was dry, DRY, zero snow etc. store called for shoveling service basically and we already just dismouted most of the boss plows "only takes a minute" but why drive around with them when there will be no more plowing.

Store calls inservice, usm "new" rep calls us around 8:30am, and at 8:40am and when i see the missed calls and when i review the voicemails around 9:30am, i immediately dispatch our most local truck that just got done salting that morning around 8am... so he leaves at 9:30am immeiately to service the store, whatever possibly could be there.

The woman proceeds to tell me that they had to call another contractor out because they couldnt get in touch with us and the situation is urgent.. Really, its sunny and 35-40d out at 9am.. how urgent can this be? They tried to cancel our entire contract of 11 stores because they entered in two extra wrong phone numbers into their system so they did not have mine or the managers cell #s right. When my employee arrived, they had a pest control company out there with a truck looking like he was attempting to plow something, maybe just hit the piles in the corners to look like he did something. Employee is stumped, calls me, then goes into store, they said "oh some snow fell off the awning/roof near the exit and wanted it shoveled away..." so he shoveled this little 2x2' pile wide of snow to the side and took pictures. I had three usm managers on the phone and our main contacts with a lengthy nasty email about who this other "rep" is that called threatening to cancel the entire contract.

usm won't pay anyone, we've had the legal team working with them for some time now, they owe us a lot of $$$ and they've made NO offer yet, and only give the attorneys excuses of why they cannot pay, even though we've had all manager sign offs for landscape and snow, work orders, confirmation codes and photographs.

In other words do what they do to us. If a few hundred of us snow providers did this to them it would be great and cause great pain to these nationals. Think how fun the revenge would be.

It would cause all the nationals to start earlier in the season and respect those that they can count on.
I like your way of thinking. For all the ones that have been screwed by USM,how are they still getting guys that like taking it dry without lube ?

I'm very glad that I don't work for nationals. They called me a few times about work, i just don't want to risk my buisiness to these deadbeat thiefs. Yeah some of the nationals are probaly okay, but there's so many local buisiness that you can get work from why bother pulling your pants down and getting raped by USM.
