I had a new Boss 8.2 V-XT installed today on my 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 Hemi. I had a Boss Sport Duty on a previous Dodge truck and it was great.
Here are my questions:
I noticed 2 things...
1) I noticed there is only one safety latch, there is only one on the drivers side, is this correct, non on the passenger?
2) When i had the plow on everything worked great. When I took it off (which was super easy) the daytime running lights weren't working, however all the regular lights worked fine when switched on. Any ideas as why the daytime runners didn't come on?
I wanted to check here before I hit up the dealer that did the install.

Flip your light switch in the cab from "plow" to "Truck" lights. If that doesn't do it check the DRL fuse.

Knuckle bustin, bolt breakin,backachin,dirty,S.O.B.Broke 3 drill bits, used 8 sawzall blades, and now that i have shimmed out the bumper mounts......i am so positive that it will all go back together as easy as it came off!!!!!!!!!!I It is almost worth paying 600 bucks for the install just to have not do what i got done today.....picking the used plow up early next week...lil wireing......presto changeo imma gonna plow me some snow soon i hope . Will post pics
I sorted out the issues I asked about. I am also gonna look into see if the plow will need to be leveled more.
Unforunately I won't be using this to make money, just save money. We use this to plow our funeral home parking lot, as well as my own driveway. I can't wait for this winter.

I have the same truck only mine is silver and the blade is 9.2 and I have the exact same problem.I have had the blade since Janurary and no issues with lights until now.
How did you fix yours?
Thanks.
With the new Canadian Dodges that have the daytime running lights(drl) you can lose your drl along with your high beams.I don't know if it was when I turned the plow lights on when the plow wasn't on or the slightly corroded connection I found or a combo of both.I called Boss and they told me that the computer in the truck senses a problem with the lighting circuit and shuts the circuit down. The fix is a $100.00 reflash of the TIPM(fusebox) but no guarantees. My Dodge dealer told me to disconnect and reconnect the battery giving it time to erase the codes and try that.
So I cleaned up the wiring and used dielectric grease on all connections and disconnected the battery and all is good except the drl look a little dim when on.I have to compare it to a new Dodge to know for sure.

Do you have high beams?I lost both drl and high beams.
How does the truck ride and handle with the Timbrens and the leveling kit?I have the Timbrens but had to take them off cause the truck rode way to rough.I also had the leveling kit but I didn't install it because I was worried about the tie rod ends and steering link.
High beams are fine on the truck so far yes. Haven't had the plow on since it was installed but all seemed well at that time.
I ran the same leveling kit and extended Timbrens on my '06 for 6 years and had no problems. I also installed the longer Bilstein 5100 shocks. I don't mind the ride at all with the Timbrens but I do have a small gap at the axle ... a little rougher than stock but I found stock in this truck mushy to begin with. You're gonna wear parts plowing snow (ball joints, axle ujoints) ... can't blame the leveling kit for those. We'll see how the 2012 holds up but I don't expect a whole lot. There is no way I could plow the terrain I do without the leveling kit and Timbrens.

Leveling kit from Hell Bent Steel (2" spacers) and the longer shocks are so they don't top out. The extended Timbrens take up the slack so the suspension doesn't over compress ... lol, and that it doesn't. I may remove them and cut a 1/4" off the extensions in the spring.

Thanks for the info.I might install the leveling kit so I can leave the Timbrens in or go for the air bags in the front and sell the Timbrens .Something else to think about.
If you install the leveling kit you will need to install extensions on the Timbrens or they won't work too well. In my opinion, from my experience, you want about 1/4" - 3/8" gap between the Timbrens and the axle with plow off. Then you still get a decent ride without the plow and the Timbrens still do their job with plow mounted.
