I had a Curtis it came on my 99' Chev it was never used until I got it. Used it 2 years with no issues. Only sold it because I found a good deal on a Hiniker V that fit the truck. I actually liked the mount setup and the hydraulic foot

i have 4 curtis plows!
one on my truck and the others are for parts!!!
there is only 2 curtis dealers in maine, both well over an hour away from me and not open weekends at all! parts availability is horrible!
the price for new parts are ridiculous! dealer wanted 700+ installation for just the hydraulic manifold!
the only good thing about curtis, is that i can buy used plows cheap!! i have never spent over 500 for a complete set up! thats complete plow! hydraulics and all!
i have had my 8 curtis on 06 pick up truck for 6 years now and has never let me down it is a solid plow. I think its better than a fisher HD because the frame on the curtis just looks a lot tougher than the fisher HD. The fisher HD just seems plain and not so ridgid or durable in my opinion.

pump location- it's difficult to work on! very poor location!
if somthing goes wrong when your out plowing it can not be easily fixed.
hopfully when somthing goes wrong my plow stops working in the garage!
doubtful.
eletrical location- is a poor location! it's mounted too low, i have lost connections a rediclious amount of times. and back draging the connection fills with snow.
i cured this my self, using a ez-connector. cost me about $200 and mounted the connection up on the bumber. works good!
hydraulic jack- i wish curtis would get rid of this! yes it's nice, but when you have problembs the ram is difficult to change out. i have replaced the switch several times!
from the dealer a warer proof switch is about $40! also since the parts are not rediably available to me. it cost me about $40 in gas just to get to the dealer!
if they just had a standard manual jack the plow would be more reliable!
my personal issue, i think my 9' cutris is made from poor steel?
i dunno, i paint it every year. it's rusted out bad!!
like i said i have several plows for parts. none are rusted like my 9 footer.
maybe i got a lemon?
To the original poster, I live in Massachusetts and I am selling the Curtis poly plow you are looing for. I currently have it mounted on my 2011 Tundra but also have a mount in my basement for 1998-2004 Toyota Tacomas. Maybe you could make that mount work on the older styleTundra. Call me at (508) 574-0888 if you have any questions.
i have had 3 plows from curtis and still have 2, one is from 99 the other 2000 both brand new when purchesed, have had no problems with any of them, the biggest issue is water can and will get into the fluid, check it and if white and milky drain it and put in new, i just use a suction hose and suck the fluid out into a container when time is critical and refill, much quicker than trying to drain at plug, i agree about motor location and newer plows have been designed much better but the framing is super heavy duty and again have never had any issues where the "guts" are located, my elect. hook ups are above front bumper so never a prob there either and after several hundred encounters with man hole covers that is saying something, have actually sling shotted lights off the plow! pisses me off but part of the game, parts are tuff call direct to Curtis for any questions, there tech has always been helpfull with me and can tell you the nearest dealer, turns out i had one less than an hour away and never new it, they are not a big advertiser so gotta look for them, all in all i would get another one and 3 other contractors in my area also have Curtis
