I just passed by a black (chevy?) with a v box and xblade vee plow frame, no mold board. Lots of Fisher vinyl all over. Nearly cracked my neck looking back-wife thinks I'm crazy:rolleyes:

I didn't realize they had reps driving around, would love to see that setup up close.

Mark, the rep for this area brings that truck to town atleast once a year and spends the day at Allied Truck Equipment.

If it did not have a moldboard then how did you know if was an x-blade??? The minute mount frames are the same for straight, vee and x-blades!

The moldboard skin is easily removeable by unbolting it. Maybe he had the actual plow framework on the truck minus the skin.

The name X blade comes from the diagonal cross bracing, not the moldboard. I saw the new video for the EZ VX; it looks to be updated from the ground up. Fisher rep told me this video would be on their website this summer.

Pretty easy to tell, it was a V and it had the x bracing but no skin (obviously so he could drive around the country with a plow on and not stress the truck.)

I would have followed him if I wasn't with the family.

I heard somewhere that they put a new lighting system on this setup. 'bout time.

The fisher website shows instructions on mounting the new headlights to MM1 and MM2 Headgear. This is the electrical part: http://www.fishersnowplows.com/pdf/28810.03_100105.pdf

And this is the adapter bracket: http://www.fishersnowplows.com/pdf/28334.02_010106.pdf

Why are they waiting so long to put up some info on the website?

My guess would be that they need to get out to most of their regular dealers and show them the product and educate them about it. Wouldnt be right to have the customers going into dealers knowing more than them and having the dealer look and feel like an idiot because they don't know chit. Just my guess, thats all.

An email response from Fisher ( in April) said the ExtremeV video would be available on the website "sometime in the summer". Today is the first day of summer! My best guess would be plows available late July. I was quoted an installed price of $5440.00 for the 9'6" model.

I like the looks of them too. I was just wondering though how hard or expensive is it going to be to get cutting edges for that thing?

Hey! just had my dealer order my new 8'6" Stainless Steel Xtreme V blade , "T" Frame, push plate, and new angle rams (because the new angle rams are 11" as the EZ-V angle rams are 12"), To replace my bent EZ-V blade. To be totaly honest I don't know what its going to cost I just had him order it because I needed it. I will try to find out so I can give you all a figure to compare to. He said it will be here sometime next month.

p.s. The Xtreme V will pin right up to an EZ-V head gear MM1 or MM2 but you do have to order new angle rams. And the rams "T" frame and push plate have to be ordered separately from the blade Assembly. EZ-V Hydraulics will work with new pistons and blade. :waving:
