Hi everyone,

I am new to the site and have done a ton of reading about plowing and have learned alot. I do realize that questions about sagging have come up and I did look at them. But what I have not seen is how much sag is okay 1/4" or 1/2 ". My situation is I have 7.5 Meyer STL. I measure with the plow up and down and I have about 1/2" difference. Torsion bars are not touched nor do I have timberns on(Yet).

So I guess I am asking is 1/2 reasonable ? I have about 350's of ballast in the bed.

Plus are there pro's and con's with using the glides on the plow.

Thanks

1/2 inch is fine. Some trucks will sag 3-4 inches.

Mine drops about 1/2" with Timbrens....and dropped at least 1 1/2" w/o Timbrens....How heavy is your Meyer??

Specs have my plow at about 650lbs.

Anyway,,,1/2" drop is great!

RG,
I have the exact same setup, truck, plow, factory t-bars, no timbrens.

I have not measured but from looking at my truck w/ and w/o plow i would have to say i get 2-3" of sag between plow up and down.

If you are only getting 1/2" of sag you are doing great. I get that much sag if i were to hang on the front of the truck, much less my plow.

You were right about weight. Complete install weight is 520 pounds.

Personally i cant wait to get some snow so i can try mine out.
